When looking for a studio, the main things you should be thinking about it 1) Safety. 2) Jewellery quality. 3) Level of training. 4) Cost.  Safety, meaning things such as hygiene, sterilisation, licensing/registration, are they up to date with things such as first aid, blood borne pathogen training etc...  Jewellery quality - Is there jewellery verifiable? Do they have certificates to prove what they are using? Is it titanium, 14/18k gold or niobium? Is it from a verified company? Is it the correct thread type, or are they using cheaper alternatives like externally threaded? Are they using poor quality coated...

I have recently been getting a lot of enquiries about becoming a piercer which is great! New blood in the industry is something that is always needed to mix things up. You are 5 years old and tell your parents you want your ears piercing... Doesnt seem like much on the surface, until you pick it apart. Ear piercing is one of the first, if not the first time a child will actually give consent for something to be done to their body. I have seen a lot of posts online as well as the odd comment (after recieving our service however..... we do not get quationed any more :P) in regards to piercing prices. Not just with us, but in general. I thought I would make this blog post to try and explain why we charge, what we do. I have 19 years of experience.
